Simply because they had cheap Malaysian and Singapore traffic. Noticed u used a short Asian in your image - I think we had similar targetting ideas. I haven't checked the results yet, but I'd say if you targetted this to Asians, the last ad would win. But if you're targetting everyone, guys wouldn't identify with the image.
